Scholar Transporter Arrested For Rape of 5-Year-Old Girl
A 35-year-old scholar transporter was arrested on Thursday afternoon in Mafefe village, outside Lebowakgomo in Limpopo’s Capricorn district.
The transporter was arrested for allegedly raping a 5-year-old girl after picking her up from school.

The suspect, who would normally drop off other children safely, allegedly took the victim to a secluded area in his vehicle and committed the heinous act.
Investigation And Arrest
The child only disclosed the incident with the transporter to her grandmother during the Easter weekend after the suspect allegedly threatened her not to report the incident.

A case of rape was opened and transferred to the Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences unit for further investigation, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Police spokesperson Col Malesela Ledwaba confirmed the arrest of the transporter and the circumstances surrounding the alleged rape.

Court Appearance
The suspect is expected to appear before the Thabamoopo Magistrate’s Court soon to face a charge of rape.
The community charged the authorities to ensure that the suspect faces the full weight of the law if found guilty.
