SAPS Names MP Fadiel Adams As Wanted Suspect In Magaqa Murder Case

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has identified Member of Parliament Fadiel Adams as a wanted suspect in connection with alleged interference in the murder case of Sindiso Magaqa.

Authorities say Adams is being sought in relation to actions that may have impacted the investigation into one of the country’s most high-profile political killings.

SAPS Calls On Fadiel Adams To Hand Himself Over In Magaqa Case

The SAPS Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) on Tuesday urged Adams to present himself at his nearest police station.

Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe confirmed the call, stating: “The South African Police Service (SAPS) Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) is calling on Mr Fadiel Adams to present himself at his nearest police station in connection with a case of fraud and defeating and or obstructing the course of justice.”

Alleged Interference In Magaqa Murder Investigation Raises Concerns

Police allege that Adams interfered with individuals linked to the case, including convicted hitmen such as Sibusiso Ncengwa, at a critical stage of the investigation.

The killing of Magaqa remains one of the PKTT’s most significant cases. In a breakthrough last year, one of the accused pleaded guilty, implicating former uMzimkhulu municipal manager Stanley Sikhosana.

According to SAPS, multiple attempts to trace Adams have so far been unsuccessful, and efforts to locate him are ongoing.
