SA Flavour! Doja Cat’s Unforgettable Coachella Performance With KZN Group ‘The Joy’

American star Doja Cat, known by her real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, took the Coachella stage by storm on Sunday, April 14th. But she didn’t do it alone.

Doja Cat brought along a talented South African acappella group called The Joy to join her in an unforgettable performance.

Doja Cat knows how to keep her fans entertained, and this time she gave them exactly what they asked for. Going back to her roots, she shared the stage with some brilliant South African singers, creating a showstopping performance at Coachella.

Despite never having met her South African father, former Sarafina! actor Dumisani Dlamini, Doja Cat performed a song with her background singers singing in Zulu.

The Joy, the local acappella group that had the honour of performing with Doja Cat, expressed their gratitude in an appreciation post. They thanked her for giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of 100,000 people on Coachella’s main stage.

The group also extended their gratitude to the incredible team that made this moment happen and to everyone who reached out from around the world after watching the stream.

Doja Cat may enjoy toying with her fans, but she never fails to serve them with the most creative fashion ideas when she takes the stage.

According to Variety, the “Say So” hitmaker had multiple wardrobe changes during her Coachella performance, and she didn’t stop at just changing her clothes. Her hair also underwent several transformations throughout the show.

She started the night in a hazmat suit, making a bold statement about the current state of the world. But that was just the beginning.

Doja Cat then stunned the crowd in a white, furry bikini, proving that she can turn heads no matter what she wears. And just when you thought she couldn’t get any more daring, she appeared in a yellow, broad-shouldered leotard that left everyone in awe.
