Robbery Gone Wrong: Suspect On The Run After Being Shot

A robbery attempt in Southridge, KZN, took a dramatic turn when a Reaction Officer was forced to shoot the suspect in self-defense.

The robbery occurred on Friday morning after a resident of Primrose Drive spotted a male in their garage and contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre.

Violent Confrontation

When the Reaction Officer arrived, the suspect exited the garage and attacked him with ascrewdriver, stabbing him on the bulletproof vest and shoulder.

The officer managed to fire a single shot, striking the suspect in the abdomen.

Despite being injured, the robber fled the property, sparking an extensive search operation.

Manhunt Underway

The Law enforcement is currently combing the area and local medical facilities for the injured suspect, who is still at large at the time of filing this report .

The Reaction Officer suffered several injuries and damaged equipment during the attack.
