Rifle And Ammunition Found At Katiso Molefe’s Home, Madlanga Commission Told

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has been told that police discovered firearms at the home of Katiso “KT” Molefe, an alleged criminal linked to multiple investigations.

Captain Maxwell Wanda, formerly of the political killings task team, testified before the commission on Wednesday morning, providing a detailed account of Molefe’s arrest in December last year.

Molefe is accused in connection with the murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart, whose company had reportedly exposed corruption in a Transnet tender awarded to Molefe’s nephew, Lucky Molefe, who is still at large.

Police Search Reveals Hidden Weapons in Luxury Vehicle

Captain Wanda explained the findings during the search of Molefe’s residence.

“He [Witness A] showed us a fleet of cars. Some were on the carport and some inside the garage. Amongst those cars, there was a white BMW. On the back seat, there was a rifle and three or four rifle magazines loaded with ammunition.”

The discovery of the weaponry at Molefe’s home has become a key focus in the ongoing inquiry, which continues to examine the broader network surrounding political and corporate corruption.
