Authorities believe the incident may be connected to ongoing gang-related tensions in the area. “Police have not ruled out the possibility that the shooting is linked to gang violence,” officials confirmed.

Reiger Park’s Troubled History of Gang Rivalries

Reiger Park has long struggled with gang violence, often fuelled by territorial disputes, the drug trade, and retaliatory attacks.

The community has previously witnessed violent clashes between rival groups, including the Dogans and the Sour Boys, whose battles for control have left a trail of destruction and fear.

As investigations continue, residents are calling for stronger law enforcement efforts to end the cycle of violence that has plagued the township for years.
