Ralph Stanfield’s ‘Hitman’ Dies In Pollsmoor Prison Amid Brutality Allegations

Abraham Wilson, alleged to be a hitman for 28s gang boss Ralph Stanfield, has died in Pollsmoor Prison, triggering allegations of brutal assault by the prison’s Emergency Support Team (EST).

According to sources, Wilson, a resident of Valhalla Park, died over the weekend after a raid in his holding cell on Friday morning. The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) confirmed his death but stated Wilson had collapsed and was declared dead by a medical doctor.

Claims of Targeted Beating

Insiders have alleged that Wilson, who had a history of health issues, was targeted during the raid. A family source said:

“Abraham was a sickly man and has been harassed in custody for a long time. On Friday, during the raid, he was allegedly beaten when he couldn’t comply with an instruction to lie down because of his kidney issues.”

However, DCS spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo dismissed these claims, saying: “Wilson collapsed and was declared dead by medical professionals. Claims that he was targeted are baseless. An autopsy will determine the actual cause of death.”

Connections to Underworld Activity

Wilson was linked to several high-profile criminal cases, including:

• An alleged attempt to assassinate Joel Booysen, son of Sexy Boys gang leader Jerome “Donkie” Booysen, in May 2023.
• A pending trial involving Stanfield and his wife, Nicole Johnson, on charges related to organized hits, tender collusion, and the murder of City of Cape Town staffer Wendy Kloppers.

Reports from the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court in December revealed Wilson had previously suffered a heart attack after alleged mistreatment during a prison raid.

Wilson’s death has left his family and Valhalla Park community shaken. His wife was reportedly informed of his death by DCS officials over the weekend.

An anonymous prison insider suggested Wilson was being pressured to implicate Ralph Stanfield.

“They’ve been targeting him for months, questioning him about Ralph. When he wouldn’t talk, things got worse,” the source alleged.

DCS maintains that there was no foul play, emphasising its zero-tolerance stance on inmate abuse. Nxumalo confirmed that an autopsy is underway to establish the cause of death and reiterated that allegations of mistreatment are “nonsense.”
