Prophet Bushiri Accuses General Sibiya Of Taking Millions To Bury Fraud Case | Watch Video

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has levelled explosive allegations against South Africa’s Deputy National Police Commissioner, General Shadrack Sibiya, claiming he was paid millions to make Bushiri’s long-running fraud case vanish.

During a live broadcast at his Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church, Bushiri accused senior Hawks officials, including Sibiya, of being part of what he described as an “extortion and corruption network” operating within law enforcement circles.

According to Bushiri, he and his representatives met with Sibiya several times, including at the police general’s residence and farm in Silverton, Pretoria.

“They told me General Sibiya would handle my case and that if we cooperated, the matter would be stopped. Money was collected in his name,” the preacher said.

Bushiri Alleges Officers Demanded Money to Stop His Case

Bushiri further claimed that another officer, identified as Captain Paul, informed his team that Sibiya and other senior officials could “make the case disappear” in exchange for payment.

“So much money was collected in the name of these generals who would stop this case,” Bushiri said. “It was corruption after another. Every door we knocked on, they demanded money.”

The self-proclaimed prophet alleged that after becoming suspicious, his team reached out to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) to expose the alleged corruption through a sting operation.

“We reported the matter to IPID, and they planned to catch them red-handed. But the operation failed because someone at the NPA warned them in advance,” he claimed.

‘Instead of Arresting the Corrupt, They Arrested Us,’ Says Bushiri

Bushiri went on to allege that after the failed sting operation, the same officers involved in the alleged bribery turned around and arrested him.

“The next morning, the very people who had taken the money came and arrested me and my wife,” he said. “Instead of arresting the corrupt officers, they made us the criminals.”

He insisted that the entire case was driven by political and financial motives, claiming that corruption within the police and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) had made it impossible for justice to prevail.

“I still believe in justice, but it cannot exist where corruption leads the system,” Bushiri said.
