Rapper Priddy Ugly and his wife Bontle Moloi had the internet buzzing after announcing their second pregnancy in a playful, short film-style video.

Titled Family Chronicles—The Dip Stick, the clip featured their adorable daughter Afrika, Bontle’s growing baby bump, and a cheeky exchange about a “strong pull-out game” that left viewers with mixed feelings.

While many fans congratulated the couple for the creative and heartfelt reveal, not everyone was impressed. One TikTok user asked, “What are we teaching kids? Ain’t nothing funny about this!” Another chimed in with, “Cool, but that convo is cringe in front of a toddler.”

MacG Throws Shade on Podcast and Chill

Enter Podcast and Chill host MacG, who didn’t mince his words during a recent episode. He called the video “cringe” and questioned the need to share such an intimate moment with the public.

“That was cringe. What must we do? That was a music video. What must we do, must we clap?” MacG said. “This is the thing with oversharing. What must we do?”

The comments sparked even more debate across X and TikTok, with some echoing MacG’s opinion and others defending the couple’s right to celebrate however they see fit.

A few even suggested hiring a scriptwriter next time, while one user joked: “Next thing, all parents are receiving a broadcast message from the crèche principal asking them to watch their language.”

Priddy Ugly Claps Back with a Powerful Message

Unbothered and unshaken, Priddy Ugly took to X (formerly Twitter) to defend his family and the love behind the video. He pointed out the deeper significance of showing a healthy, growing Black family unit in today’s times.

 

“In a time when global fertility and birth rates are declining, divorce rates are at an all-time high, and the Black family structure is disadvantaged and under threat,” he wrote.
