President Ramaphosa Honoured With Prestigious Doctorate From University Of Malaya

President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the esteemed University of Malaya in Malaysia, a recognition of his remarkable leadership and global impact.
The university bestowed the honour in appreciation of President Ramaphosa’s outstanding contributions to international relations, his commitment to advancing global development, and his extensive experience as a strategic leader and consultant.
This rare distinction places him among a select few — he is only the second South African to receive the accolade, following the late former President Nelson Mandela.
Recognition of Global Leadership and Influence
Accepting the honour, President Ramaphosa said the award symbolises the resilience and enduring spirit of the South African people in their pursuit of democracy and freedom.
“This honour in the form of an Honorary Doctorate in International Relations is being conferred at a time of great turbulence and uncertainty in the world,” said Ramaphosa.
He added that the recognition represents “the principles and values that we have sought to advance in global affairs.”
