President Cyril Ramaphosa Announces Date Of 2024 General Elections

In a highly anticipated announcement, President Cyril Ramaphosa has finally revealed the date of the 2024 general elections in South Africa. According to a statement from the Presidency, the elections will take place on Wednesday, 29 May. This announcement comes after the President consulted with the Electoral Commission (IEC) and held a meeting with all nine provincial premiers and the IEC to discuss the state of readiness for the elections.
