Polokwane Police Bust Crystal Meth Worth R150K At Penina Park Filling Station

Two 34-year-old men were arrested at a filling station in Penina Park, just outside Polokwane, after being caught with crystal meth worth R150,000.
The suspects were nabbed by members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit on Saturday, 6 September 2025, around 07:30.
According to police, they had received a tip-off that two men were planning to deliver illicit drugs at the filling station. Acting swiftly, officers launched a manhunt in the area, SurgeZirc SA learned.
Polokwane Police Operation Leads to Quick Arrest
The suspects were spotted driving a motor vehicle and were immediately stopped by officers. During the search, police discovered a maroon bag hidden under the driver’s seat. Inside, they found 13 transparent packets containing crystal meth.
The swift action of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit ensured the drugs never reached the streets.

The bust has been welcomed as another major step in curbing the distribution of drugs in the province. Authorities emphasized their continued commitment to rooting out drug-related crimes.
