ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that an investigation is currently underway into the discrepancies found in the ANC candidates list in Limpopo.
During the ANC Siyanqoba rally in Malamulele, Ramaphosa revealed that the names of five candidates who were originally ranked high on the list have been relegated to lower positions.
ANC Provincial Secretary, Reuben Madadzhe, admitted to the manipulation of the list. Ramaphosa stated that ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula has already initiated an investigation into the alleged tampering of the candidates list for the ANC legislature in Limpopo.

Limpopo has reported the highest number of complaints regarding list manipulation, followed by KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, and North West. Mbalula will soon visit Limpopo to further investigate the matter. Ramaphosa assured that there will be consequences for those found guilty.
Ramaphosa also addressed the issue of corruption and maladministration in the Giyani Bulk Water Project. The project, which was initially a R90 million emergency contract to supply water to 55 villages in Giyani, has now escalated to R3.2 billion.
The Special Investigative Unit (SIU) is currently investigating the alleged corruption and maladministration surrounding the project. Ramaphosa emphasized that the project has not been abandoned and is still ongoing. He assured that the past actions and decisions regarding the project will be dealt with accordingly.
Ramaphosa announced that the new National Health Insurance (NHI) bill, aimed at providing quality healthcare to all citizens, will soon be signed into law. He stated that the bill is currently on his desk and urged the public to stay updated for further news on the NHI.
At the rally, ANC supporters expressed their hope that the party will address their service delivery challenges. Ramaphosa expressed his satisfaction with the outgoing Limpopo Premier Stanley Mathabatha’s 10-year tenure and confirmed that Mathabatha will not be returning as premier after the general elections.
