Jacob Zuma Expresses Desire To Return As South African President

"I was quickly removed before the end of my term as president because I was trying to change people’s lives but their behaviour has made me want to come [back]. I want to return to change our situation," he told those gathered for the service.

Former South African president, Jacob Zuma, has recently made headlines with his announcement to make a political comeback.

Speaking at a prayer service held at the Nazareth Baptist Church, also known as the Shembe church, in Ndwendwe, northern KwaZulu-Natal, Zuma expressed his intention to return to the presidency.

He stated that the behaviour of certain individuals had motivated him to consider a return to power, emphasizing his desire to alter the current situation.

“I was quickly removed before the end of my term as president because I was trying to change people’s lives but their behaviour has made me want to come [back]. I want to return to change our situation,” he told those gathered for the service.

In an appeal to the church members, Zuma requested their prayers and support in the upcoming general elections.

It is worth noting that last year, Zuma had announced his decision to campaign for the Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) party instead of the African National Congress (ANC), the party he previously led.

Furthermore, Zuma encouraged the thousands of church members present to vote for a government led by individuals they personally know. This sentiment reflects his belief in the importance of familiarity and trust in political leadership.

As the news of Zuma’s aspirations spreads, it remains to be seen how this development will impact the political landscape in South Africa. With the upcoming elections, the country will witness whether Zuma’s call for a return to power resonates with the electorate.
