The Democratic Alliance (DA) Mayoral Candidate for Johannesburg, Cllr Mpho Phalatse, says he will lead political action against residents’ failing billing system in the City, SurgeZirc SA reports.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, Phalatse said residents of Johannesburg have constantly received incorrect bills for basic services, while the Municipality has failed to institute credit control by ensuring those that haven’t paid for services, do so.
“For many years, residents of Johannesburg have constantly received incorrect bills for basic services, while the Municipality has failed to institute credit control by ensuring those that haven’t paid for services, do so. The turnaround time for resolving queries has also caused further frustration for residents.
