Police Offers R50,000 Reward For Information On Missing Child In Gqeberha

The Eastern Cape police have announced a R50,000 reward for any information that could lead to the recovery of a missing four-year-old boy, Nakane Lizane, from Motherwell in Gqeberha.

This appeal comes after several search operations conducted since his disappearance in May last year yielded no positive results.

Nakane Lizane went missing from his home at Wells Estate on a fateful day in May. According to police spokesperson Sandra Janse van Rensburg, Lizane was dropped off from daycare and was playing outside with his 10-year-old brother while their mother was preparing supper.

When their mother called them inside, only the older brother returned, and Lizane was nowhere to be found. The incident was promptly reported to the SAPS Swartkops.

The police have been actively investigating Lizane’s disappearance but have so far been unable to locate him. Janse van Rensburg emphasized that the police are still pursuing leads and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in finding Lizane.

The R50,000 reward is being offered as an incentive for anyone who can provide valuable information on his whereabouts.

The police are urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward.

The hope is that this reward will encourage witnesses or those with knowledge of the case to step forward and aid in the investigation. The community’s cooperation is crucial in bringing Nakane Lizane home to his family.
