Police Offer R75,000 Reward In Search For Missing 14-Year-Old David Waterboer In Northern Cape

Northern Cape police are urgently appealing to the public for help in locating 14-year-old David Waterboer, who has been missing since February 7. David was last seen in Nababeep by his mother before she left for work. According to police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers, he was wearing black shorts, a black T-shirt, and navy blue sandals at the time.

“He reportedly intended to attend a sport event in Concordia,” said Ehlers.

R75,000 Reward for Information Leading to Arrest

Police have offered a R75,000 reward for any information that leads to David’s safe return and the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The case is being handled by detectives from the Springbok Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit, in collaboration with officers from Springbok and Nababeep.

“The reward is for anyone who can assist with locating David and with the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator or perpetrators,” said Ehlers.

The reward aims to encourage anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward.
