Police Arrest 2 Suspects For Stolen Cellphones At Makhadzi’s One Woman Show

Two suspects were apprehended by police in connection with stolen cellphones reported during Makhadzi’s sold-out One Woman Show at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo.

The award-winning musician drew a massive crowd of 46,000 fans on Saturday, but the excitement of the night was marred by reports of stolen phones. Responding swiftly, the police’s public order unit launched a manhunt to track down the perpetrators.

Cellphones Stolen At Makhadzi’s Show Recovered

By 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers apprehended two suspects linked to the thefts. According to police spokesperson Lt-Col Stephen Thakeng, a 26-year-old suspect was found with two stolen cellphones, while his 30-year-old accomplice was caught carrying a staggering 12 cellphones.

Some of the victims were able to identify the suspects, and their devices were returned to them at the local police station.

Charges and Investigations

“The suspects are expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court soon, facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property,” said Lt-Col Thakeng. He added that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
