Police Launch Manhunt After Deadly Reiger Park Drive-By Shooting Claims Six Lives

Police are intensifying their search for suspects linked to a deadly drive-by shooting in Reiger Park, east of Johannesburg.
The tragic attack, which occurred on Saturday evening, left six people dead and three others injured.

According to police, the gunmen, travelling in two separate vehicles, arrived in the area and opened fire indiscriminately on residents before fleeing the scene.
Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that the motive behind the brutal incident remains unclear.
“The circumstances of the shooting are not clear; however, investigations are underway and a manhunt has been launched for the suspects,” Nevhuhulwi said.
Community Urged to Assist Police in Reiger Park Shooting Investigation
Authorities have appealed to residents to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation.
“The Acting Provincial Commissioner has appealed to the community of Reiger Park to allow law enforcement to do their job and work together with them by reporting any criminal activities on the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111 or anonymously give tip-offs on MySapsApp,” said Nevhuhulwi.
Police have yet to determine whether the shooting was gang-related or motivated by another dispute. Meanwhile, officers continue to patrol the area to prevent further violence as investigations progress.
