This vehicle was reportedly travelling from Eswatini towards Johannesburg. Thanks to the collaboration of various units, including Delmas SAPS, Middelburg K9, and the Middelburg Flying Squad Unit, police were able to execute a successful interception just before the Dryden off-ramp.

Seizure and Arrest

Initially, a routine search of the truck revealed no irregularities, yet the police officers identified a potent scent of dagga. Consequently, the truck was escorted to Delmas SAPS, where a specialized K9 narcotic dog conducted an intensive search.

This search led to the discovery of a concealed compartment containing 63 balls of dagga, wrapped in brown sellotape, weighing a total of 1180 kilograms.
