Pebetsi Matlaila Reveals She Was Living In A Shelter With Her Children —Mzansi Comes Through for Her!

Former Skeem Saam actress Pebetsi Matlaila just let Mzansi into her deepest struggles, revealing that she and her two kids were forced to seek shelter at a women and children’s safety house after being evicted.

The actress, who once graced our screens, opened up in an emotional Instagram video, and let’s just say—it was a lot!

Evicted and Left With Nowhere to Go

In her heartfelt confession, Pebetsi didn’t hold back. She admitted that she had been struggling to keep up with rent payments for months, and even though her mother tried to help, it just wasn’t enough. Eventually, her landlord gave her the boot, leaving her and her babies without a place to call home.

“I was losing it. Probably having a nervous breakdown,” she shared, explaining that the pressure had her on the verge of crumbling.

Mzansi Rallies Behind Pebetsi

“I did not just get a job to sustain my children. I got a job that will also give me a car. I didn’t expect that. I cannot believe how things are turning around for me,” she revealed, clearly overwhelmed by the unexpected blessings.

New Beginnings and Gratitude

Despite the tough time, Pebetsi remains grateful. From e-wallet transfers to anonymous sponsors gifting her a laptop and printing costs for her books, Mzansi really showed up for her!

“Words cannot begin to explain how grateful I am for the love, the gifts, and the financial help. I won’t mention names because I was asked to keep them anonymous,” she shared.

Now that things are slowly getting back on track, Pebetsi has announced that she’s stepping away from social media for a while.
