Off-Duty Police Officer Arrested For Murder After Tavern Shooting

A 24-year-old man lost his life in a tragic incident involving an off-duty police officer in Limpopo.

According to police, the incident occurred when the officer and the victim had a heated confrontation on the road, which escalated into a shooting.

The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation, and the police officer’s official firearm has been confiscated as part of the probe.

Acting provincial commissioner of police in Limpopo, Major General Samuel Manala, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.

The police officer, attached to the OR Tambo International Airport, was detained at Tinmyne police station and will face justice for his actions.
