She Cheated?! Influencers Ntandokazi Mzamo And Bash Break Up After Engagement

Yoh, Mzansi was not ready for this one. Popular social media influencer Ntandokazi Mzamo and her longtime partner Athini “Bash” Bashe — collectively known as Ntando Bash — have officially called it quits, just weeks after announcing their engagement. And as expected, the timeline has been on absolute fire ever since.
The TikTok and Instagram couple, famous for serving couple goals, fashion fits, date nights and soft-life vibes, broke the news with a joint statement addressed to their online family, friends and loved ones.
But while the statement preached peace, reflection and growth… Mzansi smelled smoke!

Ntandokazi And Bash Breakup: “Mutual Separation” or Something More?
In their statement, the couple revealed that after “a lot of honest conversations and reflection”, they decided to separate mutually and focus on themselves as individuals.
They also shared some perspective on their journey:
- Known each other for 10 years
- Dated for almost 5 years
- Engaged for a short time
They thanked supporters for the love and memories shared online and offline, and asked for privacy and understanding during this difficult period.
Their statement read in part:
“We’ve known each other for 10 years, dated for almost 5 years, and were engaged for a short time. We’re grateful for the love, support, and memories we’ve shared… We kindly ask for respect, privacy, and understanding during this time.”

Sounds mature, right? Well… the streets had other ideas.
Almost immediately, unverified rumours of cheating began circulating — with fingers pointed firmly at Ntandokazi. The couple themselves did not confirm or address any infidelity claims, choosing instead to protect their peace.
But social media? Oh, social media went IN.
Mzansi Reacts: Cheating Allegations, Gender Wars & “Couple Goals Were a Lie?”
The reactions were loud, emotional and wildly divided:
@advbarryroux: “Ntandokazi Mzamo was caught cheating & it has ended in tears.”
@rzonop: “After 10 years of selling us perfect couple goals… loyalty was just content all along.”
@trbogo_m21: “I blame the guy, women don’t cheat if treated well.”
@deputyneighbour: “How do you know she was the one cheating? Y’all always want to make women look bad.”
@hlovo_: “What leads to a breakup after being engaged for a week? Yoh.”
Others believe the breakup has nothing to do with drama, suggesting the couple simply wants a quieter life off social media:
@don_lethula: “Now that they’re engaged they want to be off-grid.”
@shatired: “People break up. Doesn’t mean the relationship was fake.”
Then came the wild takes
@shadaya_knight: (lengthy rant about looks, money and ‘baddies’)
@burnerburnerarc: “I’m glad they broke up so she can finally be in her baddie era.”
Mzansi is clearly invested. Was this love real but rushed… or was the breakup inevitable?
