Advocate Mukhali Ivy Thenga, the Limpopo Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), shared that after a thorough evaluation, it was concluded that the evidence gathered does not support a reasonable prospect of a successful prosecution.
The investigation covered critical allegations raised by former State Security Agency (SSA) Director-General, Arthur Fraser, who reported incidents regarding money laundering and potential misconduct connected with the president and Major General Wally Roode.

The Prosecutor’s Evaluation Criteria
The decision to refrain from prosecution aligns with the established protocols of the NPA, which emphasize a careful assessment of the available evidence.
Factors taken into account included the strength of the state’s case, the credibility of potential witnesses, and the reliability and admissibility of the gathered evidence. Ultimately, the DPP recognized that the evidence in the docket did not support a likelihood of successful prosecution.
