Norkem Park Woman, Accomplice Arrested For False Kidnapping Plot And Perjury

Police in Norkem Park have arrested two suspects in connection with a staged kidnapping and robbery. The arrests come after a woman reported on 12 September 2025 that her boyfriend had been kidnapped during a house robbery.
Investigations quickly revealed that the report was fabricated. Police uncovered that the woman, along with four male accomplices, had planned the kidnapping and robbery to withdraw money from her boyfriend’s bank account.
Norkem Park: Charges of Perjury and Conspiracy Filed
The 30-year-old woman now faces charges of perjury and conspiracy to kidnap, while her 28-year-old male accomplice was arrested for house robbery and kidnapping.
According to police, laying false charges is a serious offense. “Opening or reporting of false cases constitutes perjury, which is punishable by law,” authorities warned.

Both suspects are expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court today, 15 September 2025. Police have reiterated their commitment to holding accountable anyone who abuses the justice system with false reports.
