No Bail For E-Hailing Driver Murder Accused As Angry Protests Rock Pretoria Court

Three suspects accused of murdering 22-year-old e-hailing driver Isaac Satlat have abandoned their bail applications as angry demonstrations unfolded outside the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.

The accused — Dikeledi Mphela, Goitsione Machidi and McClaren Mushwana — are facing charges of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances linked to the fatal attack.

Bail Abandoned as Case Postponed to 23 February 2026

The trio made a brief appearance at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

During proceedings, the accused opted not to proceed with bail. The matter was postponed to 23 February 2026 to allow further investigation.

They remain in custody. The two male suspects are being held at SAPS Pretoria North Police Station, while the female accused is detained at the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre.
