BREAKING: Nigerian National Shot Dead In Randburg During Alleged Confrontation With Sizok’Thola Crew

A Nigerian national identified as Rugged has allegedly been shot and killed in Randburg following an incident involving the Moja Love television programme Sizok’Thola.

The fatal shooting reportedly occurred at around 4pm on Friday in Windsor East, Randburg. According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the victim was inside his vehicle when members of the television crew approached him.

Witnesses allege that Rugged was unarmed at the time and was questioned while seated in his car. They claim he told the crew that he had “nothing on him”, after which a brief argument followed.

Eyewitness Accounts Describe Fatal Shooting in Windsor East

Eyewitnesses further allege that moments after the exchange, a firearm was produced and the victim was shot in the chest. Emergency services were alerted, but Rugged was declared dead at the scene.

Residents in the area gathered shortly after the incident, with tension escalating as news of the shooting spread through the Windsor East community.

Police On Scene as Nigerian Community Demands Accountability

South African Police Service officers arrived at the scene soon after the shooting. However, police officials declined to comment when approached by SurgeZirc SA.

Members of the Nigerian community in Windsor have since voiced strong demands for accountability, calling for a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
