Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the Zulu monarch’s traditional prime minister, has been hospitalised but is not critically ill.
On Monday, his office confirmed that he was admitted for routine test and treatment for chronic back pain, as well as a minor procedure for back pain management.

Buthelezi’s spokesman, Liezl van der Merwe, stated that it has come to their attention that rumours about Buthelezi’s health are circulating.
“Though he was discharged, he unfortunately needed to be readmitted for further treatment and recovery. The nation will be kept abreast as and when necessary.
