A 26-year-old woman from Mpumalanga was arrested for allegedly stabbing her lover, resulting in his death.
The 36-year-old man was murdered during a scuffle between the couple, according to Colonel Donald Mdhluli, spokesperson for the Mpumalanga provincial police.
The altercation occurred on Saturday, and the injured man was immediately rushed to the hospital by a family member.

Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away that same evening. Upon examination, the police discovered several stab wounds on the man’s upper body.
Following their investigation, the police were able to trace and apprehend the woman. She is expected to appear before the eMalahleni Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face charges of murder.
The incident has been strongly condemned by Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, the provincial commissioner of police in Mpumalanga.

While acknowledging the swift action taken by the police in making the arrest, General Manamela expressed concern over the prevalence of domestic violence. She urged people to address their issues civilly and avoid resorting to violence.
