
After allegedly forcing a 17-year-old girl into the boot of her Ford Figo, a 43-year-old lady was arrested and charged with kidnapping. The girl was released when the ransom was paid.
Iran Mathonsi was apprehended by officers of Crime Intelligence and the Gauteng Highway Patrol after they received information about a suspected Silver Ford Figo matching the description of the vehicle involved in the kidnapping.

The vehicle in question was tracked down and stopped near Randfontein, Gauteng.
Colonel Adele Myburgh stated that the investigation is still underway and that the police cannot rule out the potential of tying the suspect to additional incidents.
On charges of kidnapping and extortion, the defendants appeared in the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court. She will be held in custody until her next court appearance on Thursday when she will make a formal bail application.
