Two young women narrowly escaped a dangerous situation while waiting for an e-hailing service in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victims reported that a man approached them, brandishing a knife and demanding they get into his vehicle.
Fortunately, one of the women managed to jump out of the moving vehicle, while the other found refuge in nearby bushes. With the help of a Good Samaritan, they were able to escape the clutches of their attacker.
Although they decided to recover before filing a police case, this incident highlights the importance of taking proactive measures to avoid becoming targets of criminal activity.
The Community Policing Forum (CPF) strongly advises residents to be vigilant and take steps to enhance their personal safety, particularly when in potentially unsafe environments.

One practical way to enhance personal safety is to share your live location with a trusted individual and inform them whenever you feel unsafe. This enables someone to keep track of your whereabouts and potentially intervene if necessary.
Additionally, it is important to gather as much information as possible in case of an incident, such as vehicle registration numbers or any other identifying details that can assist law enforcement in their investigations.
