
On Saturday night, a group of unknown attackers opened fire on patrons seated outside a tavern in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, resulting in the death of six people and leaving one injured. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and as of now, no suspects have been arrested.
According to Gauteng police spokesperson Col Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, the victims were enjoying their time outside the tavern when the assailants suddenly appeared and started shooting indiscriminately.

While six individuals tragically lost their lives on the spot, one lucky survivor was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
Gauteng police commissioner Lt-Gen Elias Mawela has taken immediate action by mobilizing extra resources to track down the attackers.
