Suspected Varados gang boss, Leroy ‘Finch’ Brown, was fatally shot in Florida, west of Johannesburg. The incident occurred on Tuesday after Brown left the Virgin Active gym on 14th Avenue in Constantia.
According to a reliable source, two suspects emerged from a waiting vehicle and launched an attack on the alleged gang leader.
One of the assailants stepped out of the car and shot Brown as he was exiting the parking lot. The other suspect remained in a white Mercedes C200, acting as the getaway vehicle. After the shooting, the shooter walked back to the car, and they fled the scene.
Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, spokesperson for the police, confirmed that the victim was leaving the gym when he was approached by two unidentified men.
“The police in Honeydew are currently investigating a murder case following the fatal shooting of a man on 14th Avenue,” said Nevhuhulwi.
The shooting took place on November 21, 2023. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and no suspects have been apprehended thus far.
