The South African gospel community is sending out prayers for Solly Moholo, who has been hospitalised in Botswana. The ‘Banaka Nako ea Me e Haufi’ hitmaker was set to perform in the country when he suddenly fell ill.
South African gospel music powerhouse Solly Moholo had to be rushed to a hospital after falling ill.
The news, reported by @mdnewss on their X blog page, came as a shock to Mzansi. “Gospel musician Solly Moholo is currently hospitalised in Botswana after falling ill upon his return from a successful series of performances in the country,” the blog post read.

TshisaLIVE reported that Solly’s manager mentioned he will remain in Botswana until he fully recovers.

“He is much better today than yesterday. During this time, the family would like to humbly request that you keep ntate Solly Moholo in your prayers as he makes a full recovery. We will keep you updated regarding any developments. We ask his fans to put him in their prayers for his speedy recovery,” the news publication stated.
South Africans took to social media to express their concern and send their well wishes. @TshepoTC11 exclaimed, “Ahh, quick recovery, Mr. Moholo.” @DlaminiDukani shared, “Sorry, Mr. Solly, speedy recovery.” However, some expressed concerns over his frequent travels. @Bad_Option88 commented, “I think he’s a bit old to be performing around, he should be closer to home now.”
