Six teenage boys, aged between 16 and 19, were arrested for the alleged murder of a 25-year-old male in the Somerspost section of Zamdela, Free State. The incident took place on Sunday, 12 May 2024, at approximately 00:30.
Upon receiving a complaint about an unknown male who had been assaulted and left lying on the ground at a specific house in Somerspost, the Zamdela police promptly responded.
Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered the 25-year-old male motionless on the ground, having sustained fatal head injuries.
Despite initial uncertainty about the identity of the suspects, a thorough investigation by the police eventually led to information about the whereabouts of the six suspects.
Acting on the received information, the police located and arrested all six suspects at a shack in Somerspost. The suspects are set to appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate Court today to face charges of murder in connection with the tragic incident.
