Three children were shot dead after unknown gunmen opened fire in a Khayelitsha barber shop on Saturday afternoon.
The Western Cape police confirmed the incident on Sunday. Along with the three children, an adult male also lost his life as the gunmen unleashed terror before fleeing the scene.

The children who lost their lives in this heinous act were aged 12, 11, and 5. In addition to the fatalities, two other children were admitted to the hospital with injuries. The adult male who perished in the attack further underscores the brutality of this incident.
“Detectives attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances of a multiple murder in Khayelitsha in a bid to get to the bottom of the incident and apprehend those responsible,” the police stated.

The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be apprehended, with the motive for the attack still undetermined.
