According to eyewitnesses, Naser, a wealthy businessman who resided in the upscale Crystal Towers, was driving from Koeberg Road towards Bosmansdam Road when he was attacked. The assailants, armed with an Uzi rifle, pulled up alongside him and opened fire. Naser, in an attempt to escape, crashed his vehicle into several other cars before his G-Wagon flipped.
Despite efforts by emergency services to rescue him, Naser succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident bears a striking resemblance to the assassination of Cyril Beeka, a well-known underworld figure, who was also killed by gunmen on a motorbike in 2011.
The motive behind Naser’s murder remains unclear, leaving the community in shock and speculation. Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg confirmed the shooting and stated that investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. He also mentioned that the victim was a foreign national.
