A man in his thirties received medical attention from paramedics following an unfortunate accident on the M4 highway in Durban on Thursday.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, reported that paramedics were dispatched to the incident on the southern freeway around 10 am.
Upon arrival, they discovered that a taxi traveling on the northbound carriageway had been struck by a metal object.
It was believed that the object had been dislodged from a truck traveling in the opposite direction, piercing through the taxi’s windscreen.
The man suffered severe injuries and was provided with immediate stabilization by advanced life support paramedics at the scene.
Subsequently, the paramedics transported him to the hospital for further medical care.
