On Sunday, tragedy struck the family of 62-year-old Madhu Bunwarie, a respected businesswoman from Pietermaritzburg, when she lost her life due to a shocking accident on the N3 highway.
The incident occurred when a car battery was thrown off a bridge, crashing through the windscreen of her vehicle as she travelled with relatives.

Madhu was making her way home with her husband and two other family members after attending the funeral of her uncle in Phoenix. Her uncle, Roy Sukdev, expressed his devastation at the dual loss: “It’s a double tragedy for us.
