
On Friday, police in Free State arrested a 28-year-old mother of two for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy and paying him R100 to keep quiet about it.
The woman, from Tseki Village, is expected to appear in the Tseki Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of rape.

According to Free State police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring, information at their disposal revealed that the woman summoned the boy to her house on September 1 when he was playing in the street.
“On his arrival, she undressed and allegedly raped him and gave him R100 not to tell anyone.”
Mophiring went on to say that the mother had reported the incident to police last week.
The Phuthaditjhaba Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Section took charge of the situation and transported the youngster to the doctor.
Mophiring went on to say that the woman’s children had been placed in the care of relatives.
