Self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri has expressed a notable lack of sympathy for controversial Pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng following the latter’s recent legal troubles.
This comes in the wake of a tumultuous sequence of events that began with Motsoeneng forcefully entering Matshidiso Primary School in Katlehong, brandishing a panga and threatening teachers.

Pastor Motsoeneng, affiliated with the Incredible Happenings Church, became ensnared in legal troubles after his aggressive actions at Matshidiso Primary School.
His dispute, linked to a custody battle involving his son’s children, escalated to unlawful entry and threats against school staff. Community members, outraged by his behavior, subsequently burned his church to ashes, prompting educational authorities to investigate the incident thoroughly.
Amidst these developments, Bushiri, who has a contentious history with Motsoeneng, utilized social media to assert his satisfaction with Motsoeneng’s plight.
He remarked, “After fighting me in the name of fighting for South Africans, he is now fighting the same South Africans with guns and knives. You cannot fight an innocent man because you think he is a threat to your interests and have your things move well.” Bushiri accused Motsoeneng of being “instrumental” in his and his wife Mary’s downfall, citing relentless persecution following their corruption charges in 2020.
The animosity between the two pastors is well-documented. In 2020, following Bushiri’s arrest on charges including fraud and money laundering, Motsoeneng led the “Bushiri Must Go Home” movement, claiming to be a champion against corruption.
Bushiri’s recent comments reflect the bitterness that has festered over years of public and legal battles. He went as far as to wish Motsoeneng a quick mental recovery “on this side of Malawi,” emphasizing the disdain and unresolved tension between them.
