At a period when Mzansi have just discovered a new love relationship with Amapiano sounds, Nasty C explicitly revealed during an Instagram Live chat with fans that he will not be jumping on the Amapiano genre.
His revelation comes at a time when most rappers have been talking about changing the genre from Hip J=Hop to Amapiano because it seems that is the only sound that sells in the country and around Africa at the moment.
Over the past few months, we’ve seen hot South African rappers dump hip hop for the genre, but the award-winning star shuts down fans hope of him doing piano songs.
The SA star said he’s passing out the message now to his other music colleagues who are friends with him, so he doesn’t have to decline them when they request for him to do an Amapiano song with them.
Nasty C has over the years been regarded as one of the most talented Hip Hop and Rap artists in the country. His music has been played on airways in the US with numerous fans all around the world.
It seems Nasty C knows it is what he is good at and he won’t be making any attempt to change into some other sounds.
Nasty C further revealed that he is a core hip hop artist, but he would rather do house music first, before doing Amapiano.
The rapper said he is a fan of Amapiano songs and loves the energy, but he will enjoy the genre from a distance, without dropping a song.
