Murder Suspects On The Run, Moodley And Perumal Sought By Authorities

Denish Moodley and Ugresen Perumal are currently on the run after being convicted for a 2017 murder that took place in Lenasia South, Gauteng.
The family of the deceased has reached out to various institutions for assistance in locating the two men.

Details Of The Murder
On November 4, 2017, Avinash Manjanu was attending a party in Lenasia South, Extension 2, when an altercation occurred between him and Moodley. Moodley left the party and returned with Perumal in a Hyundai i20. Manjanu was standing on the roadside when Perumal, encouraged by Moodley, opened fire on him.
Manjanu attempted to flee in his blue BMW M3 but lost control of the vehicle after failing to negotiate a bend. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared deceased at the scene.

Moodley and Perumal were subsequently arrested by the police and charged with murder. The firearm used in the assassination was also recovered. Both individuals were sentenced to 25 years imprisonment, a sentence they appealed against in 2019.
Their appeal was dismissed. They were expected to surrender to authorities but have since absconded.
The family of the deceased believes that Moodley and Perumal may be hiding in KwaZulu-Natal.
