Motorist Runs Over Man Multiple Times After Heated Dispute

A horrifying incident occured in Rivonia, Sandton, on April 5, 2025, when a motorist allegedly ran over a man multiple times following a heated argument,killing him on the spot.

Gauteng police have since launched a murder investigation and are actively searching for the motorist, who fled the scene.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, officers were called to the scene where they discovered a man lying on the side of the road with extensive injuries.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead upon arrival.

Dispute Over Damaged Vehicle Turns Deadly

Witnesses say the fatal incident began when the victim, reportedly involved in an argument with a local shop owner, allegedly threw a brick at the motorist vehicle, smashing the windscreen.

In a shocking escalation, the shop owner allegedly got into his car And drove over the victim’s body repeatedly.

“The driver showed no mercy,” said Colonel Nevhuhulwi. “He allegedly drove over the man several times before speeding off.

A murder case has been opened and investigations are underway.”

A chilling 38-second video of the attack has since gone viral, showing the horrifying moment as the motorist strikes the victim repeatedly while shocked bystanders scream in disbelief.

A woman’s desperate cries to stop the assault can be heard in the background, but  no appears unfazed as he continues the brutal act.oóóó

The footage has sparked public outrage across social media, with many calling for the immediate arrest of the suspect and justice for the victim.

Police Appeal for Public Assistance

Gauteng authorities have confirmed that no arrests have been made yet, but efforts to track down the suspect are ongoing.

Police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the alleged perpetrator.
