Moshe Ndiki Faces Losing Assets Over R1.2 Million SARS Tax Bill “Hire An Accountant, Not Surrogate”
Hawu bakithi! Renowned TV presenter and actor Moshe Ndiki is facing the possibility of losing his assets after reportedly failing to pay a tax debt amounting to just over R1.2 million.
The Ready Steady Cook South Africa host has been given options to either dispute or settle the debt — but if he doesn’t, SARS could come knocking to auction off his belongings, iyoh!
According to City Press, SARS issued Ndiki a second letter of demand after he allegedly failed to pay income taxes for multiple periods.
Moshe Ndiki’s Woes
On 26 August, he was asked to pay R600k within 10 business days, and by 11 September, the figure had ballooned to R1.2m. Should he fail to comply, SARS has threatened legal action.
When contacted for comment, SARS spokesperson Siphithi Sibeko said he was legally barred from discussing taxpayer info, shutting down speculation.
