Mom Accused of Killing 11-Year-Old Jayden-Lee May Plead Guilty In Explosive Murder Case

A dramatic development has emerged in the murder case of 11-year-old Jayden-Lee Meek. His mother, Tiffany Nicole Meek, has indicated she may admit guilt to certain charges linked to his death.
The matter briefly returned to the Johannesburg High Court sitting at Palm Ridge on Tuesday, where the case was postponed to 25 March for plea proceedings.
Meek currently faces several serious charges, including murder, obstructing the administration of justice, crimen injuria, and attempting to defeat the administration of justice. These charges stem from the death of her son at their home in Fleurhof in May 2025.

Her legal team informed the court that they had approached prosecutors and indicated that Meek intends to plead guilty to some of the allegations brought against her.
Jayden-Lee reported missing before body found near home
The tragic case began on 13 May when Jayden-Lee was reported missing after he did not return home from school.
A day later, the search ended in horror when police discovered the young boy’s body just a few metres from his residence. His remains were found close to a stairway inside the Fleurhof residential complex.
Following weeks of investigation, authorities arrested Meek on 11 July. She later appeared in court but was denied bail, meaning she has remained behind bars while awaiting trial.
Investigators claim crime scene was staged
According to the National Prosecuting Authority, the investigation uncovered disturbing details surrounding the boy’s death.
“Investigations revealed that the child had returned home from school and was allegedly killed inside the house,” National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) communication officer Magaboke Mohlatlole said.
