Mzansi Drags Moja Love For Bringing Back Bujy Bikwa With New Show “Not The Guy Who Hit Boity!”

Just when Mzansi thought Bujy Bikwa had disappeared for good, the controversial media personality is back on TV — and social media is in absolute shambles!

On Thursday, 30 October 2025, entertainment commentator Phil Mphela broke the news that Bujy Bikwa will be returning to screens as the host of a brand-new Moja Love reality talk show titled Gwababa. The show is set to premiere on Saturday, 1 November 2025, at 6 PM on Moja Love Channel 157.

The Comeback Nobody Saw Coming

Taking to his Instagram page, Bujy — born Sthembinkosi Bikwa — shared a teaser of Gwababa, describing it as a lighthearted show that helps people confess their crushes, shoot their shot, and maybe even fall in love.

But while the show’s premise is all about love, Mzansi is side-eyeing the network’s decision, given Bujy’s violent past involving rapper and businesswoman Boity Thulo.

In 2021, the former Metro FM and Moja Love star made headlines after he was accused of assaulting Boity during a heated altercation at a hotel in Midrand — an incident that left Boity injured and Bujy’s career in flames.

Although Boity later dropped the charges nearly two years later, many South Africans haven’t forgotten — and they’re calling out Moja Love for “rewarding” someone accused of gender-based violence.

Mzansi Reacts: “Moja Love Always Protects Abusers”

When Phil Mphela confirmed the show on X (formerly Twitter), the comments section exploded. Viewers were quick to drag both Bujy and Moja Love, accusing the network of hypocrisy.

But not everyone  agrees — with some users threatening to boycott Moja Love altogether.

Bujy’s Fall From Grace and Attempted Redemption

Since the 2021 assault saga, Bujy admitted that he lost two major TV gigs and several brand deals, forcing him to downgrade from a golf estate to a smaller apartment.

Now, with Gwababa, the controversial TV host seems eager to start fresh. But whether Mzansi is ready to forgive — or watch — remains to be seen.
