Mob Attack Claims Life In Limpopo

A manhunt is underway in Limpopo for residents of Lwamondo, Tshalovha village, implicated in the brutal attack and burning of a man by a mob, who allegedly attempted to rape an elderly woman.
The incident occurred in the Vuwani policing area.

The Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba in a statement on Monday, confirmed that the deceased, Singo Tshifhiwa, was found naked and taken outside by the mob, where he was burned to death on the street.
Community’s “Jungle” Justice Condemned
Limpopo provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the mob justice incident.

He urged communities to resist taking the law into their own hands through mob attack.
Instead, Hadebe encouraged communities to report all criminal activities to the police.

Investigations Ongoing
Mashaba stated that preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was allegedly found in a one-roomed house attempting to rape an elderly woman who screamed for assistance.

The police were informed about the incident and rushed to the area, finding the victim with severe burning wounds.
