MK Party’s MP Mandlenkosi Matutu Accused Of Scamming R15,000 From Nokwanda Mtshotane

Nokwanda Mtshotane has accused MK Party politician Mandlenkosi Matutu of scamming her out of R15,000. The incident dates back to November 23, 2021, when Matutu allegedly borrowed the money, promising to repay it by the end of the month.
Despite numerous polite attempts to recover her money, Mtshotane’s efforts have been in vain. Mtshotane’s lawyer wrote to Matutu but received no response.
Frustrated, she turned to SurgeZirc SA on November 5, 2024. When contacted, Matutu promised to get back to SurgeZirc SA but instructed a woman claiming his lawyer to contact Mtshotane, promising payment by the end of November or the first week of December.

Mtshotane, who now sees Matutu as a scammer, shared her ordeal with SurgeZirc SA: “On 23 November 2021, Mandla called and asked for financial assistance, saying he needed about R35,000 to buy diesel for his trucks and would refund me by month-end November 2021.
I informed him that I did not have that amount, but I would give him what I had. I transferred R10,000, and on 24 November, he called again saying what I had given him was not enough, so I transferred another R5,000.”

“Ever since then, he has not paid me back. Every time I followed up, there were different stories or he would just ignore my calls and texts. I ended up asking for assistance from my lawyer in 2022, who tried reaching out to him, but he would not take the calls.
My patience has now run out because I have given him enough time to pay. What made me even more pissed is how he responded with a laughing emoji today when I told him I am giving him up until Friday, the 8th of November to pay me back,” the lady wrote.
This article aims to expose the alleged scam by Mandlenkosi Matutu, who is tarnishing the reputation of the MK Party, and to seek justice for Nokwanda Mtshotane.

Mtshotane told SurgeZirc SA “I even sent the MKP spokesperson a message a week ago and still that has not yielded any results.”
SurgeZirc SA researched Mandlenkosi Matutu and is currently compiling the shocking result of the work and will publish it as a follow-up article.
“What’s pisses me off is that I know that He has the money because he has different businesses like the trucks, also a security company also being an MP he is just not prepared to pay me back,” Mtshotane said.

“Good afternoon, I just called the lawyer and she says that today they got confirmation that payment has been processed by the department however it has not yet reflected on their account so let’s wait for next week,” Mtshotane said after contacting Matutu’s lawyer on the 6th of December.
To date, payment has not been made, which means the same delay system continues despite holding the money for over 3 years.
Mandlenkosi Matutu Must Pay
As we put the public on notice of this unacceptable attitude by someone who unfortunately associates himself with a party that fosters hope for the common man as it prepares to grab power in the next election circle, the MK Party must work hard to get rid of these elements who torment those around them.

Being a politician does not grant anyone the right to intimidate law-abiding citizens. Mandlenkosi Matutu must be held accountable and repay the money he borrowed from a woman who generously assisted him in good faith.
SurgeZirc SA is working on a series of expository articles that will reveal the true person of Mandlenkosi Matutu and why the public must stay away from him. The article will be published in the coming weeks.
