Minnie Dlamini Has MacG Shaking — Now He’s Offering Apologies, Training, And Mediation!

It looks like Podcast and Chill firebrand MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho is finally feeling the heat from Minnie Dlamini’s explosive Equality Court case.

And according to his own affidavit, the once-unshakeable host is now offering gender sensitisation sessions, mediation, and a revised apology in a bid to cool the flames.

Yes, you read that right. MacG — the king of “we say what we want” podcast chaos — is suddenly willing to sit in a circle and talk about gender sensitivity. The same man who built a career on being “unfiltered.”

The Root of the Drama: MacG’s Comments on Minnie and Dr Monaisa

In August 2025, Minnie Dlamini hauled MacG before the Equality Court after he made derogatory remarks about her while discussing her breakup with cosmetic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa.

Minnie labelled the remarks hate speech and discrimination, demanding a hefty R1.5 million donation to Women for Change if she wins.

MacG fired back in October with a formal response — one that shocked even his own fans.

MacG: “I’m Willing to Learn… If the Court Says So”

In his affidavit, MacG said the show sometimes “makes mistakes” and they’ve apologised before — but this time, he’s willing to go even further.

He told the court he is open to:

✔️ Gender sensitisation sessions
✔️ Mediation with Minnie
✔️ Revising his apology to her specifications

The same guy who once insisted on “freedom of speech at all costs” is now drafting apology edits like a Grade 8 learning to say sorry after detention.

But the gag? He still says Minnie’s R1.5 million demand doesn’t belong in the Equality Court, suggesting she must take that to civil court if money is what she wants.

Netizens React: Sympathy? Not Quite.

As with anything involving MacG, social media erupted into a warzone of jokes, shade, and disbelief.

@collen_sambo2 wrote: “😂 for the sake of the podcast.”

@mngadiMburah demanded: “@Solphendukaa, please have MacG confirming this on the podcast.”

Some praised him for trying to show accountability, while others called it PR damage control wrapped in performative remorse.

A few even suggested he’s only doing it to soften the Equality Court ahead of judgment.

One thing the timeline agreed on though? This is not the MacG they’re used to.

MacG might not be paying Minnie’s R1.5 million any time soon, but his sudden willingness to undergo training and mediation suggests this case has rattled him more than he’s letting on.

Well, Minnie Dlamini has MacG playing defence — and for the first time in a long time, he isn’t holding the mic.
